THE CFC BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER, IN A STRUCTURED WAY, TO ACHIEVE SOCIAL CHANGE
We’re redefining what a town square looks like in our community, serving as a place where all people, organizations, and ideas can come together to effect real, lasting, and systemic change. By merging cutting edge data science with an emphasis on equity and the lived experience of our most marginalized communities, the Cape Fear Collective supports Southeastern North Carolina’s front line organizations in combating poverty, racism, poor health and education outcomes, and socio-economic disparities.

THE COLLECTIVE VOICE
Maddie – an African-American woman living with her family in New Hanover County – is part of the American middle-class. But, as we talk, you’ll hear the reality of her every day from just making rent to overcoming systemic racism. The hope is these conversations will entertain and inform and give you another perspective to consider when you look at our community.

LET’S TALK JOBS. #CAPEFEARTALENT
The economic impact of COVID-19 will be felt for years to come but, according to the regional Cape Fear Talent survey, employers are still hiring. Over 55% of employers surveyed since mid-March indicated their businesses would grow over the next three years adding between 9,600 and 17,500 new jobs to our region.
Join us virtually on September 1 to hear about the skills, education, and training employers need from our regional talent pool to fill these jobs.
